Every row is a dated snapshot, not a live counter and not a lifetime total. TikTok counters move by the hour; a figure scanned in May is a May figure and is labelled as one.
Reach vs median compares a hashtag’s plays per video against the median across the 215 hashtags ranked here (scans from 6 October 2026 onwards), which is 50,209 plays per video. Three times the median or better is called high reach; at or above the median, above median; below it, below median. That is the whole rule.
The sample is the videos TikTok lists first on the hashtag's page, capped at about sixty, so “videos read” is the size of the sample and says nothing about how many videos use the hashtag, and plays per video leans towards the more popular videos. Scans dated before 6 October 2026 came from a scraper that did not filter for book content, so they are shown with their date and are not ranked. It is a measurement, not a promise — nothing here predicts what your video will do.
